Bright From the Start This link contains information for the SCHOLARSHIPS & INCENTIVES programs, managed by Care Solutions, Inc. The programs provide educational assistance and salary supplements to eligible early care and education professionals currently working in the field. The project is funded by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, using the federal Child Care and Development Funds.

Promoting Safe and Stable Families Promoting Safe and Stable Families provides funding, training and technical assistance to community-based, non-profit organizations and county DFCS departments to support services that promote the safety and well-being of children. This Federally-funded program is administered by Georgia's Department of Human Resources (DHR), Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), and managed by Care Solutions, Inc. (CSI).

Through innovative programs and outreach initiatives, Smart Start Georgia is working to improve the quality of early care and education for all children ages birth through five, promoting lifetime learning and ensuring greater achievement throughout the child's education and beyond.

The Out-of-Home Care Program of Georgia's Department of Human Resources, Division of Family and Children Services, Treatment Services Unit contains detailed information about Out-of-Home Care in Georgia, resources for DHR staff and for current and potential Out-of-Home Care providers, and related items of interest.


DHR -  Department of Human Resources

The Georgia Department of Human Resources was created in 1972 by the General Assembly. DHR manages programs that control the spread of disease, enable older people to live at home longer, prevent children from developing lifelong disabilities, protect children from abuse and neglect, provide families with a variety of financial and non-financial supports, train single parents to find and hold jobs, and help people with mental or physical disabilities live and work in their communities.


Communities For Children The vision of Communities for Children, a not-for-profit organization, is that all children in the state of Georgia will have a sense of dignity and experience some of the most basic, simple pleasures of childhood.

Information Network for Children provides current information for parents and professionals in the childhood care and education community in Georgia. For parents, childcare directors and professionals in the field, the network links to numerous sites with information and resources.
