A survey regarding child welfare services in Georgia was offered online during December, 2006, to help DFCS assess and improve its services for children and families.  Care Solutions compiled the survey data and provided the summary reports to the DHR/DFCS.

DFCS Caregiver and Parent Surveys

Two surveys, one for caregivers and one for parents, were conducted by mail during December, 2006, to ascertain these publics’ opinions regarding child welfare services in Georgia.  Care Solutions compiled the survey data and provided summary reports to the DHR/DFCS. DHR/DFCS Community Forums

During the month of November, Care Solutions helped DHR/DFCS conduct 13 regional community forums around the state to share information with and seek input from child welfare system stakeholders.  CSI subsequently prepared 13 Community Forums reports which have been posted on the DHR/DFCS web site. DHR/DFCS Statewide Community Forum

Care Solutions assisted in planning and promoting a well-attended Statewide Community Forum for stakeholders and staff, which was held on December 19, 2006, at the Capitol Education Center in Atlanta. The forum was the culmination of a series of 13 regional community forums held during the previous month to share information with and seek input from child welfare system stakeholders.  CSI subsequently prepared the Statewide Community Forum report in January 2007, which is posted here and on the DHR/DFCS web site.
