| Teach children these five bike
safety rules to help them avoid serious, possibly fatal crashes:
- Before you get on your bike, put on a helmet.
- Never ride out into a street without stopping first.
- Obey stop signs.
- Check behind you before swerving, turning or changing lanes.
- Never follow another rider without applying the rules.
Take time to practice bike safety with your child. Practice and
positive bike safety habits make for a safer bike riding experience.
