There are 14 resource and referral agencies in the state of Georgia that serve all 159 counties. These agencies provide parents, childcare providers, employers and the general public with answers about childcare.

For parents:
Help in finding childcare arrangements, what to look for, and general childcare information.

For providers:

  • Assistance in the start-up of family childcare homes, group childcare homes and childcare centers.
  • Training to increase providers’ knowledge base and consultations concerning day-to-day activities in childcare.

For employers:

  • Collect and update various detailed information on the supply of childcare from their database.
  • Consultations on starting an on-site center, feasibility, etc.

For the general public:
Disseminate information about childcare in communities.
