The Professional Development Registry (PDR) is a recognition system established to document and verify professional achievements of people who work in Georgia's Childhood Care and Education settings.

Practitioners (participants) can request a copy of their certified record of training directly from the Registry. This record details community- based training the childcare provider has completed. A project of ACET, the Professional Development Registry recognizes practitioners' professional development accomplishments.

What the PDR can do for…

Teachers:

  • Promote a professional image
  • Provide a personal record of individual professional development accomplishments
  • Provide a statement of personal qualifications and commitment to the field
  • Expand career potential by providing a tool for future planning
  • Track progress in obtaining credentials
  • Enhance career potential by providing documentation of DHR or CEU approved trainings attended
  • Place you on the mailing list for the Smart Start Georgia INCENTIVE$ program

Administrators:

  • Streamline the licensing process for reviewing staff qualifications
  • Provide a tool for accessing previous training
  • Support recognition of staff educational achievements
  • Track progress and assist in planning future staff development opportunities
