In Georgia, child abuse and neglect reports from childcare programs
should be made to the local child protective agency, The Division
of Family and Children Services (DFCS). There is a DFCS office in
each county.

Be sure to have your documentation available at the time of your
call. The person taking your report will ask you many questions
and it is important that you have your information clear in your
mind. You may also need to give details regarding the child and
their family and other witnesses such as names, addresses, and phone
numbers.
Georgia has laws that protect the reporter of suspected abuse or
neglect from legal liability as long as your report is made “in
good faith” and not made maliciously.
For more information about reporting child abuse and neglect, check
out a fact sheet published by the Georgia Department of Human Resources,
DFCS.
